(she/her)
Hi! My name is Kylie, and I'm thrilled that you've taken the time to find my website! Let me tell you a little bit about myself:

I'm a December 2024 graduate of The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor campus). During my time at the university,
I graduated with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and a minor in Music.
My post-graduate plans are to remain home with my family in Michigan. I have recently obtained a job as a Behavior Interventionist for an elementary school in Taylor, and I cannot wait to get started! I look forward to combining my love of music, as well as my fascination for the human mind, to facilitate adolescent well-being in a classroom environment.

Storytime with Kylie: A Beauty and The Beast Graduation

My heart’s passion is musical theatre. Throughout my college years, I often sacrificed on-campus social opportunities to participate in numerous theatrical productions, as the drives to rehearsals and performances frequently involved an hour-long commute from my home in Canton. I've definitely put quite a few extra miles on my car with these commutes, including my daily trips to campus, as I had chosen to stay home during college to give myself the freedom to continue theatre. I took most of these sacrifices in stride, but in my last semester of college, I faced my first truly difficult decision.

My graduation and the closing performance of a show I desperately wanted to be part
of—Disney's Beauty and the Beast—had a scheduling conflict.

As a die-hard Disney fan (see video below of my time working there!), I expressed my desire to be in this show during my last semester. My parents understood the situation and accepted that I might not walk at graduation. With this in mind, I auditioned for the role of "Belle," and leapt with joy when I received the call offering me the role! I had no regrets about my decision to choose the show. The closing performance was a bittersweet experience, as it marked the culmination of both my loves—musical theatre and my education. As much as I was thrilled to perform, a small part of me felt incomplete by not walking at graduation. That’s when my loved ones, friends, and castmates came together to deliver the best surprise of my life.
On Closing Night, after we had completed our bows, the cast surprised me with my own graduation ceremony right there on stage. They even brought out a navy cap and gown for me to wear over my Belle dress, and I adorned my school’s colors on my favorite place of all—the stage. This story truly encapsulates what theatre is all about, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I hope to continue down this path, no matter where life takes me.

I've attached the video of my personal graduation presentation below. Every time I watch it, I can't help but smile.

Thank you so much for your time. :)
